Ashford Benjamin are working with a global insurer on a Regional Compliance hiring based in Hong Kong.
You will act as APAC Compliance representative, overseeing various compliance functions including regulatory compliance, financial crime, market conduct, data protection, and privacy. Responsibilities include managing the APAC Regulatory Compliance program, leading regulatory change projects, and providing oversight and governance on risk strategy. The role also involves supporting Code of Ethics and Conduct control and investigations, as well as drafting and reviewing regional compliance reporting and regulatory escalation cases.
The successful candidate should have at least 8 years of solid APAC compliance experience in the insurance sector, a deep understanding of regulatory updates and controls across APAC (including China), excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, and fluency in both Chinese (Mandarin) and English.
