As they grow, my client is hiring a Senior QA Engineer to play a critical hands-on role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of their systems. This is an individual contributor role focused on deep technical execution, test strategy, and quality advocacy, working closely with engineers, researchers, and product teams across services and workflows.

Responsibilities
• Design, implement, and execute automated tests for backend services, APIs, and UIs
• Ensure adequate test coverage across functional, integration, and performance testing
• Collaborate closely with engineers, researchers, trading, and operations teams to define test requirements and quality expectations
• Identify gaps in existing test strategies and work with engineering teams to improve coverage and reliability
• Advocate shift-left testing, ensuring issues are caught early in the SDLC
• Participate in architecture and design discussions to improve testability and automation

Requirements
• 5+ years of experience in QA engineering, with hands-on ownership of automation testing, particularly with Playwright or Pytest
• Solid understanding of QA methodologies, test design, and automation frameworks
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, including integrating automated tests into build and deployment workflows
• Experience in a trading firm or financial technology environment, with exposure to systematic trading systems or similarly complex, low-latency, data-driven platforms
• Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with engineering and research teams

Nice to have / preferred
• Familiarity with performance testing tools such as K6 or Locust
• Solid knowledge in Python, Golang, TypeScript, or C++
• Working knowledge of SQL / NoSQL
• Exposure to data warehouse, data lake, or streaming pipeline testing
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Datadog or Grafana
• Experience in trading or crypto domains
