My client is a global quantitative high-frequency trading firm powered by technology, data, and scientific rigor; operating across trading and research platforms where reliability, low-latency performance, and uptime are non-negotiable.
As they scale, my client is hiring an AWS DevOps Engineer to help build and maintain the cloud and production infrastructure that powers trading operations, internal tooling, and large-scale data systems.

Responsibilities
• Design, deploy, and manage AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code
• Automate systems and administrative tasks to reduce manual toil.
• Maintain high availability for production trading systems, monitor infrastructure respond to alerts, and troubleshoot issues; participate in on-call rotation for critical systems.
• Support containerized, distributed environments using Docker and Kubernetes
• Build and improve infrastructure for rapid storage and analysis of large trading datasets; manage AWS storage services.
• Enforce IAM best practices, access management, and backup/disaster recovery processes to meet security standards.
• Work closely with engineering and trading teams to understand their infrastructure needs. Create and maintain clear technical documentation.

Requirements
• 5+ years hands-on devops experience.
• Strong production experience with Linux systems.
• Deep working knowledge of EC2, VPC networking, IAM, S3/EBS/EFS/FSx, and EKS.
• Proven experience with Terraform (preferred) or CloudFormation.
• Experience with CloudWatch, Datadog, or equivalent tools.
• Experience building and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines
• Strong Bash/shell scripting skills.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, able to work autonomously, and comfortable in a fast-paced production environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

Nice to have / preferred
• Experience in financial services / trading environments
• AWS professional certifications
• Experience with high-performance / low-latency infrastructure
• Multi-region infrastructure experience
• Python / C# (and/or other modern languages) is nice to have
