We are instructed on a fantastic opportunity for a general commercial / IT lawyer to join a top-tier global hedge fund. Due to exceptional business growth, our client is expanding their APAC legal team based in Singapore.
The role will focus on drafting/reviewing/negotiating a wide range of general commercial contracts including: data/research agreements, hardware/software, NDAs, HR agreements, telecom and colocation. This hire will identify and evaluate legal risk associated with commercial contracts and develop strategies to mitigate those risks as well as overseeing and managing external counsel.
Essential Requirements
– 5-10 years PQE, coming from a Magic Circle / US law firm or top-tier international financial institution
– Experience drafting and reviewing general commercial contracts
– Financial Services experience a strong preference
– Capable of working under pressure in a fast paced and dynamic environment
– Able to read and write in Mandarin
