A global proprietary trading firm is hiring a Head of DevOps to lead the engineers responsible for software deployment and the on-premises infrastructure supporting its trading platform. Combining people management with hands-on technical leadership, you will set the team’s direction and improve how systems are released, monitored, and maintained. You will work closely with trading, development, and infrastructure teams to prepare for new trading activity, strengthen production reliability, and reduce manual work through automation.
Ideal Candidate:
• 10+ years in DevOps, systems engineering, or a related field, with experience leading technical teams
• Background in investment banking, traditional buy-side, or crypto trading, with hands-on experience supporting on-premises infrastructure
• Strong people management skills, including coaching, developing, and retaining engineers
• Hands-on development skills in Python, Go, and shell scripting
• Experience with deployment platforms, orchestration tools, and CI/CD pipelines
• Track record of setting reliability targets, leading incident response, and preventing recurring production issues
• Relevant technical degree and fluent English, with the ability to align technical and business stakeholders
