Ashford Benjamin is partnering with a rapidly growing business with a focus on retail client on a senior risk strategist search in Hong Kong market.
This position works within a dynamic, analytical team and collaborates closely with senior stakeholders in the APAC region to identify, solve, and monitor risks associated with retail banking and fintech business.
You will be responsible for formulating Risk Management policies and procedures for a consumer finance business in the APAC region, covering various risks like Credit, Liquidity, Operational, and Technology. The role involves establishing risk frameworks and assessments, implementing risk appetite and strategies, and ensuring effective risk control at a group level. Additionally, responsibilities include leading credit strategy initiatives such as portfolio performance evaluation, collateral strategy, portfolio construction, and risk modeling.
The position requires collaborating closely with subsidiaries on data analysis and risk analytics projects. The ideal candidate should possess at least 15 years of experience in risk management within APAC consumer finance or retail banking, expertise in risk strategy, model implementation, and frameworks, with a preference for a credit background. Proficiency in Python, SQL, SAS, or C is beneficial for this role.
