Our client, a top-tier systematic investment manager with a significant global footprint, is strengthening its core Cloud Operations team. This group is the engine room for a massive-scale AWS environment that supports groundbreaking quantitative research and live trading systems. We are looking for a pragmatic, automation-focused engineer who thrives on ensuring complex systems are resilient, efficient, and secure.

The Role in a Nutshell:

As an Infrastructure Support Engineer, you will be the go-to expert for the health and performance of our client’s cloud landscape. You won’t just respond to incidents; you’ll build the tools and automation to prevent them. This is a high-impact position that blends deep technical support with strategic engineering, offering direct visibility into how robust infrastructure drives business success.

Ensure the reliability, security, and cost-efficiency of a large-scale AWS environment, utilizing core services like EC2, S3, VPC, and IAM.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve sophisticated technical issues across the entire cloud stack, demonstrating an ability to diagnose problems with minimal context.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and Cloud Formation to enable reproducible and scalable cloud deployments.
  • Implement and manage comprehensive monitoring and alerting solutions to maintain system visibility and proactively address potential problems.
  • Collaborate directly with software development and quant teams to support their cloud-native applications and optimize resource utilization.
  • Administer and support a mixed environment of Linux and Windows systems within the cloud ecosystem.

 Your Present Skillset:

  • You have substantial, hands-on experience supporting and troubleshooting mission-critical environments on AWS.
  • You are proficient in scripting with Python or Bash and have practical experience with infrastructure-as-code tools, particularly Terraform.
  • You possess strong foundational knowledge of both Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • You are a natural problem-solver with a systematic approach to diagnostics and a passion for automation.
  • You have excellent communication skills, allowing you to effectively collaborate with technical teams and clearly document solutions.
  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and configuration management tools (Ansible) is highly desirable.
