Know technology procurement inside out? Bring that expertise to a global buyside firm.
My client, a global tier-1 buyside firm, is looking for an experienced technology procurement professional to join its Hong Kong office and support sourcing activities across APAC.
Working within the global procurement function, you will partner with technical teams and suppliers to deliver a broad range of technology services and infrastructure. The remit spans data centres, colocation, telecommunications, SaaS, cloud services, smart hands support, and IT hardware, including servers, networking, storage and desktop equipment.
The role
• Own the procurement lifecycle, from understanding business requirements and evaluating suppliers through to negotiating contracts and managing vendor relationships.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to define priorities, agree deliverables and keep sourcing projects on track.
• Design and run competitive tender processes across APAC, including requests for proposals and quotations.
• Work closely with Legal to review contractual terms, negotiate amendments and finalise agreements.
• Build productive supplier relationships and monitor delivery against business expectations.
• Resolve purchasing and supplier issues proactively, while balancing strategic initiatives with day-to-day activities such as purchase order creation.
• Use procurement data to inform sourcing decisions and contribute to better processes across the global team.
Your background
• 5+ years of relevant procurement experience, with a strong understanding of technology sourcing.
• Hands-on knowledge of requests for proposals, master service agreements and statements of work.
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to explain complex commercial and contractual terms clearly.
• Confidence managing projects independently, including situations where requirements are evolving or direction is limited.
• A collaborative approach, strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to handle both strategic and operational responsibilities.
