About the Role
A global Tier-1 buyside firm is seeking a Quantitative Python Developer to join its front office quantitative trading function. The team partners closely with quantitative traders and researchers to turn research insights into practical, production-grade Python solutions, while also enabling users with reliable access to data and automation workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner closely with quantitative traders and researchers to design and build robust reporting and analytical tools that support trading strategies and performance monitoring
- Explore, evaluate, and integrate alternative datasets to generate actionable insights and contribute to innovative trading opportunities
- Build, deploy, and support production-grade Python applications used by the trading team
- Lead projects end-to-end—from analysis and design through to implementation and delivery
- Support users through training and by promoting sound software engineering practices
- Provide Tier 3 production support as needed
What You Offer
- 2+ years of professional experience in software engineering or a related field
- Strong proficiency in Python, with solid software engineering fundamentals
- Experience building, deploying, and supporting production-grade Python applications
- Proven ability to design, extend, and maintain clean, efficient, production-ready Python code and libraries
- Strong focus on automated testing, code reviews, and software engineering best practices
- Ability to prioritize effectively and operate autonomously in a dynamic environment
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- University degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in written and spoken English
