About the Role

A global Tier-1 buyside firm is seeking a Quantitative Python Developer to join its front office quantitative trading function. The team partners closely with quantitative traders and researchers to turn research insights into practical, production-grade Python solutions, while also enabling users with reliable access to data and automation workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with quantitative traders and researchers to design and build robust reporting and analytical tools that support trading strategies and performance monitoring
  • Explore, evaluate, and integrate alternative datasets to generate actionable insights and contribute to innovative trading opportunities
  • Build, deploy, and support production-grade Python applications used by the trading team
  • Lead projects end-to-end—from analysis and design through to implementation and delivery
  • Support users through training and by promoting sound software engineering practices
  • Provide Tier 3 production support as needed

What You Offer

  • 2+ years of professional experience in software engineering or a related field
  • Strong proficiency in Python, with solid software engineering fundamentals
  • Experience building, deploying, and supporting production-grade Python applications
  • Proven ability to design, extend, and maintain clean, efficient, production-ready Python code and libraries
  • Strong focus on automated testing, code reviews, and software engineering best practices
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and operate autonomously in a dynamic environment
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • University degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in written and spoken English
