My client is Tier-1 buyside firm that builds and deploys advanced technologies, invests in emerging start-ups across multiple sectors, and collaborates with leading research groups and universities to address complex challenges. Their Global Security team comprises engineers working across the entire security lifecycle, from designing systems to contributing across the full security stack. As you progress, you will develop deeper expertise in one or more security areas while continuing to broaden coverage across others. The ideal candidate is motivated by security operations and security automation and has practical experience in one or more of: network security, cloud security, or application security. You should be comfortable automating workflows using languages such as Python or Go, and approach security with a risk-based mindset. A full relocation package is provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Automate security processes to help maintain a resilient and dependable security posture.
- Carry out threat-informed assessments and propose improvements across network, server, and endpoint environments.
- Contribute to threat and vulnerability management, including attack-surface reduction initiatives.
- Support investigations into suspicious or abnormal behavior and produce clear, practical reporting for senior leadership.
- Work with security-relevant data and build reporting using tools such as SQL, Python, and Pandas.
- Operate with high independence and coordinate effectively with stakeholders beyond your immediate team.
- Perform additional tasks as needed to support the security organization.
Requirements
- Comfortable using at least one programming language for automation (e.g., Python, Go).
- Familiar with the Linux command line for understanding and troubleshooting systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot network-related issues throughout the infrastructure environment.
- Understanding of DNS and SSL/TLS, including how trust and end-to-end security are established over IP networks.
- Knowledge of secure identity management and authentication principles.
