We are working on a newly created role with an Asia-focused asset manager that is expanding its Legal & Compliance function, based in Hong Kong.
The firm operates across multiple business lines, investing in equities for institutional clients as well as managing investment funds for retail investors. It is a lean organisation with a strong track record of success to date. This role offers exposure to a broad range of legal and compliance matters across Hong Kong and other jurisdictions in Asia.
Occasional travel will be required, as the wider Legal & Compliance team is based in another Southeast Asian location. The position offers an excellent work-life balance, along with flexible working arrangements, including the option to work from home.
Requirements
– 3–8 years of relevant experience
– Ideally legally qualified, with experience at a law firm covering funds and/or asset management work
– In-house legal and compliance experience within an asset manager is preferred
– Understanding of Type 4 and Type 9 SFC licensing requirements
– Fluency in English is required (no additional language skills necessary) Candidates with a law degree who are not legally qualified but have relevant legal and compliance experience within an asset manager will also be considered.
